Zoom integration guide

How to connect Zoom to My Coaching Practice, what happens once it is connected, and how to remove it.

Updated Sep 2026

1What the integration does

My Coaching Practice creates a Zoom meeting for every coaching session that is booked in the app, using the coach's own Zoom account. The join link is shown to the coach and to the client, written into the calendar event, and included in the booking confirmation and reminder emails.

When a session is cancelled or deleted in the app, the Zoom meeting that was created for it is deleted as well. The app never reads recordings, transcripts, chat, participants or any other Zoom data.

2Adding the integration

Sign in to My Coaching Practice as a coach and open Settings. Under "Preferred conference meeting tool", choose Zoom and press "Connect" on the Zoom row.

You are sent to Zoom to sign in and to approve three permissions: create a meeting, delete a meeting, and view your user profile. Approve them and you are returned to Settings, where the Zoom row now reads "Connected as" followed by the email address of the Zoom account you used.

Nothing else needs configuring. From this moment, every new booking gets a Zoom meeting automatically.

3Using it

Book a session as usual, from the coachee's page, from the calendar, or let the client book through your public booking page or the client portal. The session shows a "Join" link that opens the Zoom meeting; the same link is in the calendar event and in the emails the client receives.

If you prefer Google Meet or Microsoft Teams for some sessions, change "Preferred conference meeting tool" in Settings. Only sessions booked while Zoom is the preferred tool get a Zoom meeting.

4Removing the integration

In My Coaching Practice: open Settings, find the Zoom row under "Preferred conference meeting tool" and press "Disconnect". The stored Zoom credentials are deleted at once. Meetings already created stay in your Zoom account.

In Zoom: open the Zoom App Marketplace, go to Manage, then Added Apps, find My Coaching Practice and press Remove. Zoom notifies My Coaching Practice, which deletes the stored credentials for your account the same way.

Either route is enough. After removing the integration, new bookings no longer get a Zoom meeting until you connect again.

5What is stored, and where

The app stores the OAuth tokens Zoom issues for your account, the email address and user ID of the connected Zoom account, and for each session the meeting ID and join link. These are kept in the application database, encrypted at rest and transmitted only over TLS, and are deleted when you disconnect or remove the app.

Questions or problems: use the Contact page, and mention Zoom in the subject.
